About us
What we do
LUnited brings together the many volunteers, clubs and other everyday heroes who care deeply about Ludwigshafen.
We bring together committed individuals and organisations, build networks and facilitate collaboration.
We provide information on funding opportunities, pool knowledge and support capacity-building.
We provide advice on the challenges of day-to-day club life and offer support with funding applications.
Together, we are strengthening the voluntary sector in Ludwigshafen!

Planned in partnership, implemented as a community effort
LUnited is a collaborative initiative: BASF planned and launched it together with strong partners. The aim: to foster a sense of community in our city through people who work together for the benefit of Ludwigshafen. LUnited – committed to Ludwigshafen.
Marketing-Verein Ludwigshafen
The Ludwigshafen Marketing Association (Marketing-Verein Ludwigshafen e.V.) is a non-profit organisation that brings together voluntary commitment from citizens and businesses. In Ludwigshafen am Rhein, the association plays a key role in ensuring that numerous initiatives and activities can be carried out. The association’s aim is to make Ludwigshafen an attractive place for residents and visitors alike.
BASF
“For us, effective support means: making the local environment a great place to live. Providing a platform for culture and grassroots sport. Supporting diversity and access to education for all.” This is what BASF’s Social Engagement team at the Ludwigshafen site is all about.
Haus des Stiftens
The Haus des Stiftens is a social enterprise that facilitates effective engagement and contributes to the greater common good in line with the Global Goals. To this end, it works with partners to provide support for foundations, non-profit organisations and companies.
Haus des Stiftens acted as a partner during the conceptualisation and data collection phases. It supported the operational implementation of the project and was responsible for collecting, processing and analysing the data.
Sounding Board
LUnited was supported and guided from the outset by the City of Ludwigshafen, the Ludwigshafen am Rhein Community Foundation, Zukunft Metropolregion Rhein-Neckar e.V., the VEhRA Volunteer Exchange and Sparkasse Vorderpfalz.
The design and data collection phase
As part of ‘LUnited’, qualitative and quantitative data was collected on voluntary work in Ludwigshafen, and forums for dialogue were created to bring together stakeholders from the civil society sector.
Through these four steps, we have jointly laid the foundations for concrete actions. We are now looking forward to the operational phase – step by step and in cooperation with other committed stakeholders in the city of Ludwigshafen!
