Volunteering in youth work

Youth, Funding

This scheme, run by the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, is aimed at all (prospective) youth leaders and club officials. Volunteers and those in leadership roles within youth work are entitled to up to twelve days of unpaid special leave per year. For each working day of unpaid leave, a loss of earnings of up to 70 euros per day will be reimbursed upon application.

That’s right

Successful youth work relies on the support of volunteers. They form both the foundation and the backbone of local youth work. Without your voluntary commitment, many youth camps and other activities for children and young people could not take place. The state therefore provides support, upon application, for the volunteers working for the organisations running these programmes.
