Drawing up a volunteer agreement

Taxes, Executive Board, Law, Webinar

Wednesday, 8 July 2026, 5.30–7.30 pm, online. Cost: €59.95. Organised by Vereinswelt.de.

Whether in front of or behind the scenes: there are plenty of helping hands at work in clubs – and not just on a purely voluntary basis. Many receive tax-free expense allowances in the form of the trainer’s allowance or the volunteer’s lump-sum allowance.

As there are a number of (tax) law requirements to be observed here, the collaboration should be governed by a legally sound voluntary service agreement.

This is because it is not just the tax aspect that is relevant here: the need for such an agreement also arises from other considerations, such as the issue of return donations or the limited liability provisions under Section 31a and Section 31b of the German Civil Code (BGB).

This webinar will show you the best way to draft such an agreement, using numerous sample clauses. In addition, the relevant legal principles will be explained to you in detail.
