Criminal law in organised sport

Law, Sport

Tuesday, 23 June 2026, from 6 pm to 7.30 pm, online. Organised by the Pfalz Sports Federation. Cost: 10 euros.

What’s it all about?

Whilst many are aware of the civil and liability risks within a club, criminal law aspects are often given less consideration – even though such actions can also have consequences. This online seminar uses practical examples to highlight the risks of potential criminal liability in day-to-day club life. You will learn which offences may be relevant, how a criminal investigation proceeds, and how you can protect yourself against suspicion – illustrated by typical cases ranging from ‘slush funds’ to physical assault on the sports pitch.

Speaker: Tristan Werner, lawyer

Time: 6.00–7.30 pm
