Hass und Hetze wirksam begegnen
Hate speech, disinformation and online threats pose challenges for many people involved in voluntary work. But how can you respond to them whilst protecting yourselves at the same time?
Through the ‘Sicher engagiert’ project, the Düsseldorf-based association AVP e. V. is offering a series of online workshops for volunteers and elected representatives. In the module ‘Tackling Online Hate’, you will learn practical methods for dealing with hate speech, disinformation and threats of violence. The focus is on moderation, de-escalation and self-protection.
The workshop series comprises four modules that build on one another, each taking place over two evenings.
Further dates in the workshop series:
-
19 November 2026: Tackling online hate – Part 2
-
24 November 2026: Shaping democracy in the digital age – Part 1
-
26 November 2026: Shaping Democracy Digitally – Part 2
All workshops will take place online from 5.30 pm to 7.00 pm.
