How volunteers strengthen social cohesion

People often get involved alongside others who have similar experiences or backgrounds. To ensure that everyone has the chance to get involved, we need initiatives that encourage interaction and enable participation.

The German Foundation for Civic Engagement and Volunteering is therefore hosting a free online seminar entitled ‘Working Together: How Volunteers and Local Authorities Can Strengthen Social Cohesion’. Together, we will explore how local authorities can promote civic engagement so that as many people as possible can get involved in volunteering and social cohesion at a local level is strengthened.
