How can you use social media to promote democratic dialogue and encourage people to get involved?
Through the ‘Sicher engagiert’ project, the Düsseldorf-based association AVP e. V. is offering a free series of online workshops for volunteers and elected representatives. In the module ‘Shaping Democracy Digitally’, you’ll learn how to use your own social media channels as platforms for political communication and participation.
Among other things, you’ll explore account management, creating suitable content and opportunities for digital participation.

On Thursday, 26 November 2026, from 5.30 pm to 7.00 pm, the second part of ‘Shaping Democracy Digitally’ will take place. This will also mark the conclusion of the ‘Sicher engagiert’ workshop series.
