Volunteering Day in Kaiserslautern

Events

On Sunday 30 August 2026, the 23rd State-wide Volunteering Day will take place in Kaiserslautern, an event designed to say thank you to the 1.5 million volunteers in Rhineland-Palatinate. Volunteering Day is being organised jointly by the State Chancellery and the City of Kaiserslautern, in collaboration with the two state-wide radio stations, SWR and RPR1.

Rhineland-Palatinate celebrates volunteering

The centrepiece of Volunteering Day is the ‘Volunteering Marketplace’, where 50 organisations, projects, institutions and initiatives from across Rhineland-Palatinate will showcase their work. The range of topics covers, amongst other things, sport, culture, the church, health and self-help, as well as nature, the environment and animal welfare, right through to social issues, children, and youth and democracy education. The ‘Emergency Services Mile’ offers an insight into the work of the emergency services.
