RTL supports projects in the field of child welfare

Children, Youth

The RTL Foundation supports projects run by charitable organisations that directly and immediately benefit children and young people. The aim is to bring about a lasting improvement in the life prospects of children and young people in need. Applications for child welfare projects to be funded must be submitted by December of the current year. The projects to be funded are selected in the spring of the following year.

The purpose of the RTL Foundation is to promote youth care and welfare, and to support children and young people in need. The funds raised are made available to aid organisations or charitable associations for the implementation of specific projects that serve the purposes set out in the Foundation’s articles of association. Donations may not be passed on directly to individuals. The aim is to bring about a lasting improvement in the life prospects of children and young people in need.

The Board of Trustees of the RTL Foundation decides, following a proposal from the Executive Board, on the aid projects to be supported with the donations, as well as on the amount of the respective grants.

The RTL Foundation only supports projects that directly and immediately benefit children and young people in accordance with a previously agreed written purpose. Personnel and administrative costs, as well as imputed costs or proportionate overheads, are generally not covered. Staff costs may be covered if they directly benefit the children within the scope of the agreed purpose. Costs incurred before a written funding agreement was reached are only covered in exceptional cases.
