Funding schemes, Digitalisation
The German Television Lottery’s German Aid Foundation supports social initiatives in the field of digitalisation that directly improve the living conditions of people who are disadvantaged or at risk of disadvantage for social or health-related reasons. A 20 per cent contribution from the applicant’s own funds (in cash) is required.
What is funded?
Digitalisation describes the transformation of society that is reshaping the way we live together and communicate, whilst complementing and replacing analogue technologies with digital innovations. This digital transformation has a particular impact on social work in Germany.
The aim of social measures in the field of digitalisation is to rethink people’s self-efficacy, participation and future prospects on the basis of digital technologies, and to develop and implement effective, innovative solutions to realise these.
The funded social initiatives in the field of digitalisation directly improve the living conditions of people who are disadvantaged or at risk of disadvantage for social or health-related reasons. This can take the form of needs-based guidance, support and assistance with digital technologies. Furthermore, effective, innovative technologies can be developed.
Prerequisites include a participatory development approach and a response to a specifically described need of the target group(s).
The funding principles of the Stiftung Deutsches Hilfswerk form, amongst other things, the basis for decisions on funding.
