Cultural grants for under-25s

Youth, Funding schemes, Culture

The Socio-Cultural Fund is aimed at young people aged between 18 and 25 who are working independently on socio-cultural projects, and provides funding of up to 4,000 euros (20 per cent own contribution).

U25 Young Talent Programme – young cultural initiatives

The programme supports independent socio-cultural projects run by people aged between 18 and 25. It is designed to help them take their first steps in cultural work. No previous experience is required to receive funding.

Under the U25 funding scheme, applicants may apply for a maximum of 4,000 EUR, but no more than 80 per cent of the total project budget. Due to special funding allocated for U25 this year, a one-off 90 per cent grant is available.

What is funded?
  1. Theme – socio-political or social, drawn from one’s own life experience, or the observation of social change or a social phenomenon.
  2. Artistic medium, e.g. theatre, video, photography, magazine, poetry or dance.
  3. People who are actively involved and work in a participatory manner. However, safe spaces with a specific target group may also be eligible for funding.
  4. Distinctive feature – something that makes your project unique, e.g. an unusual venue, a particular theme, a new target group, an innovative format, or collaboration partners.
