"Together for Equivalence" funding programme
Funding schemes, Diversity, Cohesion, Anti-racism
Through this programme, the state of Rhineland-Palatinate supports projects run by associations and initiatives that are committed to fostering a culture of equality and combating group-based hostility and discrimination.
What’s it all about?
In Rhineland-Palatinate, there are a large number of civil society organisations, local authorities, associations and initiatives that are committed to fostering a culture of equality and combating group-focused hostility and discrimination. They work for and with different target groups across various areas of social life. In doing so, they provide education and counselling, empower those affected, or promote diversity and equality through sport, the arts or leisure programmes. They have local and regional links, in some cases decades of experience, and are constantly developing new, innovative approaches to engage as many people as possible in a culture of equality and to support those affected by group-focused hostility.
This diverse range of commitment should be encouraged. By establishing a funding programme, the State Action Plan provides, amongst other things, for the funding of projects that help to have a broader impact on society. The aim is to support collaborative partnerships that underpin and safeguard the work against group-focused hostility, and that work to ensure that opportunities can arise from the diversity and differences among people, based on mutual recognition of equality.
