The Special Prize
In addition, the jury will award the Special Prize for Commitment after Retirement. This special prize aims to highlight the targeted engagement and integration of older people and to showcase role models that other organisations and institutions can look to for guidance.
Volunteers from the civil protection sector, organisations and companies, as well as individuals whose projects contribute to the involvement of volunteers after retirement, are eligible to apply for the Special Prize. For example, voluntary work in civil protection benefits from the involvement of retired people in areas such as logistics, training, fire safety education, post-operation support and administration.
The winning project of the special prize will receive a trophy and a certificate, as well as prize money of 9,000 euros.
