Democracy promotion programme “100 times 500 for Democracy”

The State Chancellery of Rhineland-Palatinate is awarding 100 grants of 500 euros each, with the aim of supporting voluntary activities that promote democracy in places where citizens learn and live, and of helping them to carry out their initiatives and projects.
Those eligible to apply for and receive grants include, amongst others,
- non-profit civil society organisations (associations, foundations),
- projects and initiatives without legal status or recognised charitable status,
- school and student initiatives, groups or associations,
- recognised church parishes and religious communities,
provided they are committed to the free and democratic basic order and pursue the objectives associated with the funding programme.
Applications for the year 2026 may be submitted until 31 October 2026.
